green eyes 04:02
it's like you see through your two green eyes at once everything you've laid 'em upon since 1989 and what could be the effect of trying to describe everything you're thinking about at any given time and while i'm in such a hurry you seem to always have eternity to eat your lunch even though it doesn't look good i just wish it could come to this in what could be the second most effortless display of confusion seen around here since the atomic age they lined the streets ever since the world had seen everything they hold so dear having been rearranged and while i'm in such a hurry they seem to always have eternity to eat their lunch even though it doesn't look good i just wish it could come to this

there's been some reservations about the dirt you're hanging with and we know about your family and there's some suspicion about that penny-ante job in a restaurant up on newbury a lot is being said about that funny-color hair and your clothes have come under attack a lot is being said about your driving all around in a subaru like a maniac we've had our eye upon you for quite a while now and you've been on file since early on it goes against our policy your walking all around everywhere like an automaton everywhere like an automaton an automaton everywhere like an automaton

about

Hi, Cliff here. Paul's taking a nap right now. He stayed up all night remastering this thing. He said he did "extensive" remastering. Well I think it was worth the effort. Now the album sounds more like it was supposed to in the first place.

I don't think Paul ever liked 'Pabz'. At first he didn't want to re-release it. Come on, I told him, there's some really good stuff on here. 'Green Eyes'? 'Automaton'? 'You're No Fun At All'? 'Balloon in the sky', about that friend who died? Those are good songs.

But Paul didn't like the sounds. Plus he thought some of the songs were too silly. He wanted to take out the tracks he didn't like. You can't do that, we told him! You can't change an album after it's been released into the world.

"But only like 10 people have ever heard it, nobody will even know the difference!" he said.

But the band held firm.

"It is what it is," I told him.

"Oh that's really deep," Paul said.

"Very philosophical," he said.

"You're a regular Socrates, you know that? A Zen Buddhist."

Paul can be kind of a jerk when he hasn't had his nap.

Anyway, oh yeah, when we were digging through the vaults to find the master tracks we also came across a cool early demo of 'You're No Fun At All". We're including it here as a bonus track.

We hope you enjoy!

After that I released a cassette album called Pabz, and later a CD called Pig Tail World. Now I live in San Francisco and I record songs when I get a chance and sometimes post albums online. ... more
